Rescuing Each Other
We are all crippled. We carry the scars of the battles we have fought. Some clearly written on our bodies. Others held deep within our hearts and souls. We all trip. We all fall. Some of us have been blessed to feel the strong arm of another catch us on our way down. Stopping our bowed trajectory. Rescuing us from the awfulness of hitting hard ground. Reaching out and pulling us near. Sometimes it is another’s body that saves us. Sometimes it is their words. Both leave us grateful for that moment of presence from another. Let us be that wide-awake generous person for others.
